Warning: Once you taste this taco seasoning you will never be able to go back to the normal store bought stuff again!
If that is a risk that you are willing to take….then read on, my friend!
Really, if this stuff wasn’t homemade, I would think that someone snuck an addictive chemical in it to make me crave it daily. However, since it is homemade, I know that the “addictive chemical” in it is called “pure yumminess”, instead of “pure leave my stomach a little uneasy” like the store bought kind sometimes does.
In conclusion…make this…but make a lot! Your taste buds will thank you!
Homeade Taco Seasoning
*Note: It is really easy to quadruple this recipe and store it in an airtight container and store it in your spice cabinet so you don’t have to assemble the mix each time you need taco seasoning.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Mix all spices together until well combined. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in your spice cabinet and use as needed.
